Study Group for Banking and Insurance (SGBI)
Founded Date: 2016-04-15
Study Group for Banking and Insurance (SGBI) was established in 2016 by the students of BBA BI program to learn about the banking and insurance with the experts in these fields. SGBI believes that only the blending of theoretical and practical knowledge can equip the students to face the challenges of the competitive world.
Objectives
- Organize academic and intellectual program in order to explore the intrinsic competency of students,
- Carry out lecture series on insurance, risk management, financial sector, microfinance capital market, trade and Commerce economy and business inviting experts in the related areas,
- Organize different program like a seminar, conference, workshop, interactions, training oratory program, essay writing competitions on insurance, risk management, financial sector microfinance, capital market-related areas,
- carry out field study, published journals, magazine and dissemination the findings,
- increase financial literacy through raising awareness,
- assist to establish a service centre for Banking and Insurance,
- support to SOB on effective implementation of and practical internship program,
- Increase the importance of insurance and banking and disseminate IB education among society.
