More than 30,000 students are enrolled in its four constituent, three joint constituent colleges and 58 affiliated colleges. Currently, PU has 57 programs and offers about thousand courses in various undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. PU generates most of its revenue through the maximum participation of the private sector in higher education. Over the period of 22 years since its inception, Pokhara University is playing an active role in promoting higher education in the region with special emphasis on the four faculties- Science and Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Studies and Health Sciences. Pokhara University has a collaboration with 70 institutions across the globe. Annually, more than 1000 full scholarships are offered extensively to students all over Nepal.

The University has introduced a number of innovative programmes in many areas and it has been able to create a niche for itself. In order to pursue a sustained path of growth, meet national expectations, and launch effective programmes in an efficient manner, there was a need for a strategically planned approach. The first five-year action plan was effective from July 2008 to June 2013. The third five-year action plan (2018-2023) is in action. Now, there are four faculties and a doctoral council which guide the four constituent schools and 58 affiliated colleges for their academics.

Mission
The Faculty of Management Studies offers Bachelors, Master and Doctoral level. Dean is the head of the faculty. There is a Management Subject Committee which provides suggestion to Dean in academic issues. Six programs under Master level and seven programs under Bachelors level including a post-graduate diploma program are running under FMS. A doctoral program in management has been run under the Council for Doctoral studies.

SALIENT FEATURES OF SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
The school has a school management committee (SMC), Director, different committees, faculties and staffs, program coordinators, and internal exam coordinators. SMC is responsible for the planning, monitoring and supervision of the activities of the school. Dean chairs the SMC while Director acts as a member secretary.
