This seminar was organized by Study Group of Banking and Insurance, Pokhara University School of Business, sponsored by Lumbini General Insurance Ltd. The purpose of seminar was to let participants know about the role and importance of general insurance for prosperity of any country and its people. Sessions were organized around common themes, to facilitate discussion. Approximately 100 participants from scholars of school of business and NTHMC studying BBA-BI program in different semesters came along to attend the program. Apart from this, there was cultural and farewell program. Farewell program was organized by the scholars of 6^th  semester of BBA-BI 2015 year batch.

Registration was open from 09:00 am to 10:00 am. Program was inaugurated in 10:15 am by the Chief Guest of the program, Prof. Hari Bahadur Khadka, Dean, School of Business, Pokhara University. The formal program started by the welcome speech from SGBI Board member, and  President of PU FSU Pokhara University Free Student Union gave a guest speech. Prof. Hari Bahadur Khadka, Dean, School of Business and CEO of Lumbini General Insurance Ltd. and Mr. NP Pradhan also gave inaugural speech. After that, there was a short tea break from 12:00 pm to 12:20 pm.

First technical session was started with the presentation Mr. NP Pradhan, CEO of LGIC on risk management system in Nepal highlighting the LGIC ltd.’s history, achievements, policies and so on. In addition, there was a question and answer section from 1:00pm to 1:30 pm and soon after that cultural dance was performed by the students of BBA-BI 6 th semester followed by half an hour launch break from 1:45 to 2:15 pm.

Then, in second session from 2:15 – 3:00 pm, Dr. Anil Raj Bhattarai, Director of LGIC ltd. described the prerequisites and role of general insurance for wellbeing. Also, he proposed the experiences he gained during his career as an insurance professional. After that, a short cultural dance was performed. Right after that, the speech session continued from 3:25 pm and ended at 4:00 pm, where Dr. Rabindra Ghimire, Director of School of Business, Pokhara University gave an outstanding speech about the career prospects in insurance industry. He highlighted how students must update themselves in the current marketplace, how to fulfill the expectation and goals with university’s guidelines. He added that only theoretical knowledge is not sufficient to compete in the market, training and skill is also required. 

During the closing session President of SGBI Ms. Binita Thapa delivered closing speech. Secondly, certificate distribution program was held. After officially closing of the interaction program, a farewell program was conducted by BBA-BI 6^th  to outgoing students.
